Billing, Vacations & Cancellations

Last Updated: March 2026

GMA believes in being upfront and honest about our billing guidelines. Our staff explains all policies at registration, and we’ve posted them here so current and prospective members can review at any time. These policies help us maintain top-quality instruction and fair tuition rates for all members.

Billing & Payments

  • Tuition is due on or before your billing date each month, regardless of attendance.
  • You are responsible for paying your tuition whether you attend classes or not.
  • GMA does not give refunds or adjustments for missed classes, short weeks, inclement weather days, or personal sick days.
  • Any missed classes must be made up during the same month they were missed.
  • GMA does not offer refunds on discounted programs or paid-in-full discounted programs.
  • Tuition rates do not increase for current members during their active contract.

Vacation & Medical Hold

  • Vacation credit: As a courtesy, GMA will extend a maximum of one month of class credit for vacation time with prior written notification. Monthly tuition payments must remain current during the vacation period. The credit is applied at the end of your contract as one month of additional class time on your new program.
  • Medical hold: GMA will extend a maximum of 2 months for medical injuries with a certified physician’s letter. Monthly payments must remain current during the hold period.
  • Class time extensions are offered for students registered in 12, 24, or 36 month programs.
  • GMA does not give class time extensions for participation in other sports activities unless pre-approved at the time of enrollment.
  • GMA may offer extended class credit time in certain circumstances at its discretion.

Cancellation Policy

  • All cancellations require 30 days written notice and completion of a drop form at the school.
  • Financed contracts (12/24/36 month): A $100 cancellation fee plus 40% of the remaining contract balance must be paid to cancel.
  • Month-to-month programs: 30-day written notice required. No cancellation fee.
  • Little Lions 3-month trial: No extensions or refunds since it is a trial program.
  • Relocation: If you move more than 15 miles from your original address (further from the academy), you may cancel with 30-day written notice, current tuition, a $100 cancellation fee, and proof of new address (new license or utility bill).
  • Disability: You may cancel for non-pre-existing disability with 30-day written notice, current tuition, a $100 cancellation fee, and a certified physician’s letter or SSD disability letter.

Delinquent Accounts

If your account goes 30 to 60 days delinquent, it will be forwarded to collections. Please close your account in a timely manner if you need to cancel. If you have lost your job or are experiencing financial hardship and still want to train, please contact the office — we will work with you to find a solution.

After School Program Policies

  • Weekly tuition is $110 per week. Extended care is available for an additional fee.
  • A $40 weekly maintenance fee applies during school breaks to hold your child’s position. This fee includes weekly martial arts training during off-seasons.
  • Short school weeks, inclement weather days, and personal sick days are not prorated.
  • You must call the school before 1:00 PM if your child is not attending or does not need to be picked up. A $10 no-call fee applies if a driver has to wait or search for a child.
  • The $175 registration fee is non-refundable. Space is limited.
