School Etiquette & Rules:We Are Family

When in the classroom (Dojang) the students and patents must follow the rules: These rules will maintain a professional, safe, respectful and peaceful family environment for all members. 

  1. Shoes are NOT permitted in the training hall "mated areas" (Dojang). This includes parents and visitors.  Sneakers must be worn in the weight room areas at all times.
  2. Do NOT enter Grandmaster's or instructors'  offices unless you have important matters to address. Do NOT lean or sit on the desk or counters;
  3. No smoking. No beverages, No Alcohol (except water or powerade), food, or chewing gum are (NOT) allowed in the building. 
  4. Do NOT swear or use bad language or bully others in or out of the Dojang. It will NOT be tolerated.
  5. Do NOT leave your Dobok or personal items in the Dojang. Please help to keep the building clean and tidy at all times.
  6. Students should not indulge in idle chatter in the Dojang. Discipline is the rule in the training hall; this helps students to concentrate on learning. 
  7. Concentrate when training. Do NOT do something that could obstruct the learning by other students or yourself.
  8. The Dobok should be used only when training or during competitions, never as costume;
  9. The belt should never touch, fall on, or be placed on the floor.
  10. Parents should NOT yell into the Dojang. It is extremely rude and causes interruptions in class. If a parent has a concern, he/ she can speak with the instructor after class. 
  11. Remember nobody is perfect, and students are all different with different life struggles. A student will be praised or held accountable for their actions based on their belt level and personal progress.
  12. As a family, we each have different strengths. At times, those strengths are needed to assist raising another student up.
  13. If a student is having an issue with another student, it is not a parent's place to reprimand another student. Please talk to the master instructor to clarify any issues or misunderstandings.
  1. No Video or Pictures are allowed during regular classes. Video taping and photography is only permitted on testing days or at tournaments.
  2. No phone calls in the waiting area or Dojang - Please take call outside the building. (Emergency Personal Exempt
  3. Please respect all members and parents privacy in the waiting area.
  4. For safety reasons please monitor your child / children in the waiting area and please keep non member children off the training mats. 
  5. Shirts and proper training attire must be worn at all times. 
  6. Inappropriate body markings must be covered. (X-Rated)
  7. Extreme haircuts are not permitted for safety reason. Hair must be placed in a bow to prevent vision obstructions. 
  8. Jewelry must be removed prior to training and any lost or stolen jewelry is a members own responsibility.
  9. Even though we are all animal lovers there are people that are highly allergic so animals are not permitted in the building. 
  10. Students should always try there best academically and work hard to maintain top grades. 
  11. Treat each other as family and remember if you show respect your will receive respect. 
  12. If you are having a bad day leave it at the front door if you show negativity you can not expect to make friends. Stand up and introduce yourself to others and join in our family activities. 
  13. Martial Arts follows military levels, discipline, principles, etiquette, manners and family unity.  TaeKwondo was developed by General Choi and is taught internationally in over 200 countries.

Breaking any of the above rules may cause a 60 day suspension or temporary or permanent loss of your current rank. Your tuition payments will still be due.

Dear Future ASP Parents,

GMA Gallatin parents and children love our program. The tuition value can't be beat for all of the benefits a child gains in our program.  Once you register and pay the $175.00 registration/ start up fee, we will enroll you in our system. The registration fee includes the first week plus registration. (Once the form is completed you will be redirected to PayPal to complete your payment.)

Our ASP GMS director will call you to schedule a private meeting. It is important to make your scheduled appointment, as there is limited space. The director will give you all the needed paperwork at the meeting so you can complete the ASP registration. You are not registered until the packet is completed at the school.  

Appointment times 3:30pm to 5:30pm

GMA-ASP Policy:

To hold your position on weeks off from school, summer breaks, fall breaks and holidays, there is a weekly $30 maintenance fee to hold your position. As an added benefit, the maintenance fee also includes weekly martial arts training classes during the off seasons and seasonal breaks. Please note: We do not prorate short school weeks, inclement weather-closed days or sick personal days. You must call the school before 1pm if your child is not attending or does not need to be picked up on a specific day.  If a driver has to wait or have a teacher search for a child, there is a $10 no-call fee. GMA also offers Summer camps and  Fall / Spring camps if there is enough interest.
